Hello, my name is Sebastian Zier, some know me from the social media platform Instagram @sebastianzier. In 2021, I am allowed to report on the topics “public transport and individual mobility” as well as “infrastructure and energy” in cooperation with Holding Graz. So there will be a few blog posts about the above-mentioned topics over the course of the year and I will try to research the individual areas directly to show you what is really behind the name of Holding Graz. So have fun following along and of course I would be happy about a visit to my profile or my website www.sebastianzier.com.

GrazMobil App

Nowadays it is impossible to imagine life without the word digitalisation and therefore today’s topic of my blog is the different applications of Holding Graz. So today I would like to introduce you to the “Graz Mobil App”. Nowadays you have all kinds of things on your smartphone, such as debit cards, credit cards and apps that make your life easier. If you travel by public transport, then the Graz Mobil app is just the thing for you. It is now possible to buy your public transport ticket, in addition to the ticket shop, also via smartphone, very conveniently via app, get on and go.

The app also shows you the various stations in your vicinity and gives you information about when the next bus or tram leaves from this stop. In this way, you are provided with the most important information for your way to work or to friends around the clock. With this app, it is possible to purchase all common tickets for the Graz 101 zone without cash, which I think is pretty cool.

Since 1 April 2021, it has even been possible to buy a Styria-wide Verbundticket with this app using all major credit cards or PayPal. The purchase therefore only takes a few moments. And do you know what else? You even save money. Because if you buy your hourly or 24-hour ticket via the app, you save 10% on the ticket price*.

Any questions? As always, there is some information about the app here.

If you do need a car, there is a cool additional function in the app that shows you the different “tim locations”. But there will be more information about that at another time. So what reason is there not to install the Graz Mobil app on your smartphone? Exactly none.

I hope you found the information about the app helpful and enjoyed this article.

If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to contact me. Otherwise, I’m already looking forward to the next article that I’ll be allowed to publish here.

Yours Sebastian.
