With digitalestadt.graz.at a new municipal topics server has been implemented on which all forms of the city of Graz are now accessible.

The provincial capital is thus one of the first cities in Austria to offer a portal on which online services are easily accessible for both the citizens and the municipal administration. Mayor Siegfried Nagl sees in the new portal digitalestadt.graz.at great added value for the population of Graz: “Filling out forms is not a task that people enjoy doing or that is fun. With the services of digitalestadt.graz.at, the residents of Graz can deal with their administrative matters simply and conveniently from their home. Graz is one of the first cities to offer such a service.”

Specifically, this means for the citizens:

  • More service: The digital services that we appreciate in day-to-day life – e-commerce, online banking, hotel bookings and more – are now also offered for services of the municipal administration.
  • No queueing: Those who want to submit an application no longer need to appear in person at an office or a service centre or during the opening hours of the authorities. With the online forms, residents of Graz now no longer have to take this route.
  • Around the clock: With the digital services, forms can be used at any time of the day, seven days a week.
Graz is one of the first cities to offer such a service.

Water and waste: Orders and changes are now possible online

More than 200 forms can now be retrieved online at digitalestadt.graz.at. All the administrative matters belonging to the forms can thus be handled entirely digitally in future. Of course, there are also several forms from Holding Graz from the areas of water management and waste management. For instance, it is possible to register water connections online or to order residual waste and other waste containers online.

The many municipal forms include, among others, the pre-registration for the municipal childcare facilities, the mobility cheque, subsidies for repair services, a change in the primary domicile as well as the application for a Social Card.

With immediate effect, it is possible around the clock to inspect files and to file applications very conveniently from home.

Mario Eustacchio, Vice Mayor

Vice mayor Mario Eustacchio is politically responsible, among other things, for the building and facilities authority. There the new platform will now ensure significantly simpler processes: “With immediate effect, it is possible around the clock to inspect files and to file applications very conveniently from home. This constitutes a tangible simplification for the authority as well as every applicant.”

This customer satisfaction is also particularly highlighted by Verena Ennemoser, Head of the CEO’s Office: “In times like these, we are clearly noticing how important a good online service is for the citizens. With this portal we are making the city of Graz future-proof.”

With this portal we are making the city of Graz future-proof.
