Immigration in many countries currently requires at least an antigen test and in most cases a PCR test with a short duration of validity. Proof of these tests often presents travellers with a major time problem. That is why a test point has been set up in the terminal of Graz airport which is operated by “nyr-Consulting” together with “Hygienicum Graz”. The testing is carried out for a fee and is also accessible to non-passengers.
Wolfgang Malik, CEO of Holding Graz on the new service: “Since the start of the pandemic, the crisis management at Holding Graz has striven to support the measures of the federal government in the best possible way. As we operate critical infrastructures and people are an important factor for the functioning of these infrastructures we are particularly proud that there have been virtually no hotspots for the infections up to now and that the Group initiated corresponding early detection measures by setting up company testing facilities. With the test point at the airport, we now offer the opportunity specifically for our passengers but also for external persons of getting themselves tested quickly.”
“In addition to the COVID vaccination, stringent test strategies will help in the coming months to ease existing travel restrictions and thus to make business and private trips easier,” explain Wolfgang Grimus and Jürgen Löschnig, managing directors of Graz airport. “It was therefore important to us to create a practical test opportunity for our passengers directly at the airport. However, the tests for a fee can also be taken by non-passengers.”
The test point at Graz airport has been set up so that it meets all requirements of a protectable infrastructure and is available during defined opening times.
