Alternative routes (e.g. main station – Jakominiplatz) and notes:
As we will not be able to travel through the main station subway in phase 2 from 24 May 2025 to 4 July 2025 due to the track construction work, we will have to travel via the heavily congested station intersections. We will be using numerous rail replacement buses on lines E1 and E6 and will also be sending additional buses on the Jakominiplatz – Hauptbahnhof – Jakominiplatz route during the morning peak.
Nevertheless, we recommend avoiding the main station if it is possible for our passengers. If you are travelling on the S-Bahn from the east or south, we recommend changing to Graz Linien at Liebenau, Ostbahnhof or Puntigam and Don Bosco.
An alternative route on the main station – Jakominiplatz route and back is to take bus lines 58 and 63 to Keplerbrücke and then change to tram lines 3 or 5 to Jakominiplatz.
Tram line 5 is split in two on the Andritz – Puntigam route, so to speak. A direct connection is not possible until 7 September: Tram line 5 runs from Andritz to Jakominiplatz, while tram line 5/6 continues to Puntigam from the stop at Rondeau. In the direction of Andritz, line 5 departs from the stop on line 3 (Steig A) at Jakominiplatz.
The tram network in the east offers new connections during the construction work with the linked lines 4/7 (LKH Med UNI – Liebenau) and 5/6 (Puntigam – St. Peter) until 7 September 2025.
To ensure that we have enough articulated buses available for the rail replacement service, we will have to replace some articulated buses with solo buses on some routes.
Diversion of route 62 in the Asperngasse/Eggenberger Straße area:
Due to the track construction work in the Asperngasse/Eggenberger Straße area, we will have to divert route 62
