In the spirit of international knowledge transfer, Holding Graz and the City Planning Department welcomed Krakowski Holding Komunalny SA. The aim of the visit was to gain an insight into the structural organisation of Holding Graz and the City of Graz as input for a comprehensive strategic and structural reorientation of the municipal utilities in Krakow.

During the visit, Holding Graz presented its internal structures and the organisation of Haus Graz. The focus was on the exchange of ideas on key future issues in municipal services – from the modernisation of utilities and questions of efficient urban development to the bundling of municipal services under a strategic umbrella.

The discussions showed that there are many parallels between the challenges facing both cities – and an equally great interest in learning from each other.

The Krakow delegation was impressed by Holding Graz’s strategic approach and took away many ideas for the future direction of Krakow’s municipal utilities. The visit marks an important step towards deeper cooperation at European level – with Graz as a model for modern, integrated urban development.
