The regional airline AIR UNIQON is expanding its route network from Lake Constance Airport in Friedrichshafen: from May 2027, there will be a flight to Graz every Friday, returning to Friedrichshafen on Sundays – ideal days for a weekend trip to Styria. Additional flights are planned for the AERO aviation trade fair in Friedrichshafen and other key events.

“These flights will bring the Lake Constance region and Styria closer together – at least at the weekends,” says Wolfgang Grimus, Managing Director of Graz Airport. “Not only will Styrian tourism benefit from this, but Styrian companies operating in the region will also be able to save valuable time thanks to this flight connection.”

Fabian Rosenberg, Managing Director of AIR UNIQON GmbH: “For AIR UNIQON, the launch of the Friedrichshafen–Graz route is an exciting moment and a positive sign. From May 2027, two regions that are strong in both economic and tourism terms will be accessible quickly and conveniently. We look forward to working with Graz Airport and to our first international route.”

Friedrichshafen – Graz, from 7 May to 15 October

  • Friday: Depart Friedrichshafen at 6.30 pm Arrive at GRZ at 7.30 pm
  • Sunday: Depart Graz at 3.45 pm Arrive at Friedrichshafen at 4.45 pm

AIR UNIQON was established at Friedrichshafen Airport with the support of the regional business community and has been operating non-stop flights between Lake Constance, Berlin and Hamburg since 12 January 2026. In 2027, four new destinations will be added to the flight schedule. Alongside Graz, these are Kassel, Saarbrücken and Usedom/Heringsdorf.

The idea behind UNIQON is to bring together regions that are very far apart by car or train.

Flights are operated using a Dash 8-400, a turboprop aircraft designed for short-haul routes: 78 seats, no overcrowding and short distances when boarding and alighting.
