Anniversary: 10 years of tim in Graz

Daily. Intelligent. Mobile – that’s tim! The mobility service will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2026. Since its launch, tim has established itself as an integral part of Graz’s mobility landscape, offering customers a flexible alternative to owning a car.
Ten years ago, Holding Graz launched tim, an innovative car-sharing service designed to complement buses and trams at centrally located sites. The concept aims to seamlessly integrate different modes of transport and make access to mobility simple and flexible. The tim sites are deliberately well connected to public transport, enabling convenient use of various mobility options. This makes it easier for more and more people to do without their own car whilst still enjoying comprehensive mobility. tim was developed by Holding Graz and has since been expanded to other regions such as Linz and the central Styria region.
With nearly 8,000 existing customers and around 4,000 bookings per month, it is clear just how firmly tim is established in the mobility habits of people in Graz. A lot has changed over the last ten years: the fleet has grown from 5 vehicles to an impressive 90. With 14 hubs and 22 car-sharing locations, the Graz city area is well covered. tim offers (e-)car-sharing, hire cars and cargo bikes. This includes an accessible inclusion van, professionally equipped for wheelchairs. Public charging points for private electric vehicles are also available at the locations. Bookings can be made easily via the tim Austria app.
Anniversary programme
During the anniversary month of September, selected tim vehicles will be fitted with special decals. The design highlights the service’s ten-year development and emphasises tim’s presence in Graz’s cityscape. In addition, a prize draw is planned at several tim locations. Participants can find out more about the service and win prizes.
