Since 1 October 2020, city management has been part of Holding Graz, the largest municipal service company in southern Austria. With targeted promotions and measures, the city management ensures that shopping and enjoyment in the centre of Graz become even more unique.

Under the um­brel­la of Hold­ing Graz

Already before the official integration, Holding Graz and the Citymanagement together set new milestones for the shopping and enjoyment experience in Graz:

  • Saturday free travel: free of charge by public transport to the city centre for a stroll and to do some shopping and by rail up to the top of Castle Mountain – this is what Saturday in Graz feels like! The promotion ran from October to Christmas 2020.
  • Storage service: On Saturdays, shopping could be stored from 10 am until 7 pm at Andreas-Hofer-Platz 15 free of charge in the run-up to Christmas.
  • Surveys and interviews: Your opinion is important to us! That is why we conducted surveys among Graz residents, residents of surrounding municipalities and business people on the topic of the city centre.
  • Sponsoring deals: “New signing” – Sturm, GAK and 99ers, as sponsoring partners of Holding Graz, are contributing to the revitalisation of the city centre with a host of activities.
  • Influencers: offers and services of Holding Graz are presented by influencers – one of the four thematic areas is “City centre, shopping & cuisine”.
  • Video productions: To make the advantages of the offers known to a broad audience, Holding Graz offers free-of-charge short videos to businesses in the city centre.


After 13 years under the umbrella of Graz Tourism, the city management now becomes part of Holding Graz. Graz Voucher and all other projects thus move to a new location. All persons who deal with projects for the further development of our city centre will in future work together in a coordinated way. For a well-functioning city centre, this means new activities and projects in the areas of accessibility, atmosphere and services.

The tasks of the city management are focused on retail and food service in the city centre of Graz – shopping and enjoyment in the centre of Graz are to become even more unique for residents of the city and visitors alike with targeted activities and measures.

City mar­ket­ing

Graz city management is the competence centre for city marketing. In the broadly defined definition of city marketing, this comprises the sub-areas: location marketing, city marketing, event marketing, tourism marketing & administration marketing.

Our city cen­tre

We want to set a positive signal for the city centre of Graz with all our projects. The districts 1 – 6 (city centre, St. Leonhard, Geidorf, Lend, Gries & Jakomini) form the geographical focus of the work of the city management.
