New man­age­ment team for our com­pa­ny

Holding Graz, Styria’s largest municipal service provider, is starting its next five-year management term with a newly appointed management team. On 1 January 2026, Dr Gert Heigl (Chairman of the Executive Board/CEO), Dipl.-Ing. Dr Alice Loidl (Executive Director of Infrastructure & Energy) and Mag. Mark Perz, M.A., MBA (Executive Director of Mobility & Leisure) took over the management of the group.

With this new composition, Holding Graz is sending a clear signal for continuity, competence and future-oriented development of the company, which employs around 3,200 people and provides key public services such as public transport, waste management, energy and water supply for the citizens of Graz.

Dr Gert Heigl – new Chairman of the Executive Board/CEO
Management & Investments Division

Gert Heigl has been managing director and member of the executive board of the Holding Graz Group for more than 20 years and has been responsible for major strategic infrastructure and energy projects in Graz, among other things. He has extensive management expertise in the field of municipal services. As Chairman of the Board, he heads the ‘Management & Investments’ division and has overall responsibility for the company as well as strategic management of all divisions and investments.

Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Alice Loidl – new Executive Director
Infrastructure & Energy Division

Alice Loidl brings many years of experience in the fields of waste management, environmental management, recycling and project development. She joined the Executive Board team on 1 January 2026 as a member of the Executive Board for the first time and assumes strategic responsibility for the ‘Infrastructure and Energy’ division, which includes the areas of water management, waste management, urban space, municipal workshops and customer management & sales. She has already made a significant contribution to the implementation of key projects such as the new, state-of-the-art Graz Resource Park and provides strategic support for major infrastructure projects such as the Graz Energy Plant.

Mag. Mark Perz, M.A., MBA – Executive Director
Mobility & Leisure Division

Mark Perz has decades of experience in the mobility and logistics sector, including in management positions at ÖBB and in international logistics. Under his leadership, Holding Graz Linien has developed successfully in recent years, for example by implementing measures to relieve traffic congestion in the city centre, purchasing new Flexity trams and taking the first steps towards decarbonising the bus fleet. Since 1 January, Mark Perz has also been responsible for the airport, which means that the holding company’s subsidiary is now part of the ‘Mobility & Leisure’ division.
